Frequently Asked Questions

What is True Hot Yoga?

True Hot Yoga blends traditional hot yoga with classical vinyasa, practiced in a heated room. With temperatures ranging from 102°F (35°C) to 105°F (40°C) and 50-60% humidity, it helps warm the muscles, enhance flexibility, support detoxification through sweat, and foster mindfulness.

How should I prepare for class?

To get ready for a True Hot Yoga class, make sure you’re well-hydrated beforehand. Skip heavy meals a few hours prior, but feel free to have a light snack if necessary. Wear comfortable clothes that you can sweat in and bring a refillable water bottle. Arriving early is also helpful to meet your instructor, adjust to the heat, and settle into the space.

What are the benefits of hot yoga?

True Hot Yoga provides a variety of benefits, such as better flexibility, increased strength and endurance, stress relief, detoxification through sweat, and improved mental focus. Consistent practice also boosts posture, balance, and body awareness, contributing to overall well-being.

Is True Hot Yoga Safe for Everyone?

Hot yoga is generally safe for most people, but it's important to check with your healthcare provider if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. Pregnant women (especially those new to the practice) and individuals with cardiovascular issues or heat sensitivity should exercise caution or consult a doctor before starting.

What should I bring to class?

Remember to bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated during class. We offer a free purified water filling station for your convenience. Please also bring a yoga mat and a large towel to cover it, though rental mats and towels are available for purchase at the studio. You may want to bring a hand towel for sweat and a change of clothes for after class.

Arriving a few minutes early is recommended to get settled and set up your mat with our guidance!
